Samsung expands its affordable smartphone portfolio with another new model

Samsung has just launched a new smartphone in its mid-range segment that brings with it interesting specifications.

The new Galaxy Buddy 2 has a 120Hz refresh rate and an integrated 50-megapixel camera, but it’s only available in South Korea for now.

One of Samsung’s strategies to stay ahead of sales is to make the terminals available in quantity in each market in which it is present and, for this reason, we often hear news of new brand launches. On this occasion, the brand has expanded its mid-range segment with yet another new model: the Galaxy Buddy 2.

At the controls of the new smartphone is the eight-core Snapdragon 750G processor and a speed of up to 2.2 Ghz. It also has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The 6.6-inch screen, for its part, offers a Full HD+ resolution, that is, 2408×1080 pixels and, although it is a mid-range terminal, it is equipped with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Good arguments also in the optics that have a triple rear camera configuration with a 50 megapixel primary sensor, an eight megapixel wide angle and even a macro sensor with two megapixel resolution.

The rest is powered by a beefy 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. For now it is only available in its home market for US$300 (295 euros), South Korea, and there is no information on its global availability yet.

The new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 even run the new Android 12L operating system, designed specifically for foldable smartphones. Thanks to this integration, the Fold 4 has a new taskbar that has optimized multitasking functionality and navigation options in the new terminal.

Now the leaker The Galox advances, on the social network Twitter, that Samsung wants to integrate this new feature into older models of its Galaxy Fold series.

This rumor also suggests that the South Korean giant may upgrade older Fold models to Android 12L OS, meaning these too may receive new features.

Unfortunately, the leaker does not advance whether the Galaxy Flip series, or rather the older models of this “family”, will be eligible for the same major update.
