Salman Khan death threat

New Delhi, India – A high-profile murder plot aimed at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, allegedly orchestrated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has led to charges being filed against five accused in a Navimumbai court. As per the chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai Police, a contract worth Rs 25 lakh had been taken out to eliminate Salman.

Details of the Plot

According to the chargesheet, Bishnoi gang had planned the execution of the contract in a manner akin to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Intelligence agencies had revealed that the assailants were planning to acquire high-quality weapons, including AK 47, AK 92, and M 16 rifles, as well as Turkish-made Zigana pistols, similar to the ones used to kill Moosewala.

Undercover Surveillance

Police records detailed that around 60-70 people kept a close watch on Salman Khan’s daily activities, monitoring his movements from home to his farm house and filming locales. The accused allegedly recruited teenage boys to carry out the task under the supervision of Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, expected to receive the kill order to carry out the attack.

Statement from the Victims and a Witness

As per the police investigation, statements from accused Arbaaz Khan, wife of Salman’s business manager, and the Bollywood superstar himself were recorded. Salman recounted in his testimony the events of the night in question, remembering a party at his house which interrupted his sleep, prompting him to fall asleep late and wake up after being startled by the sound of bullets.

Following the discovery of the planned ambush, the police arrested the accused accomplices, and subsequent charges will be filed as necessary according to the investigation.
