Rashid Khan's big feat in T20 International, became the first bowler to do this

The picture of the four teams reaching the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is now clear, with South Africa, England, India, and Afghanistan making it to the final four. Afghanistan’s win over Bangladesh in the Super 8 round by 8 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis method has secured their spot in the semi-finals for the first time. Afghanistan’s captain, Rashid Khan, also achieved a significant feat with the ball in this match. With this win, Rashid has moved up to the second position in the list of players taking the most wickets in T20 Internationals.

Rashid Khan showcased his spin magic in the match against Bangladesh, giving away just 23 runs in four overs and taking four crucial wickets. This feat has helped him complete 150 wickets in T20 Internationals, making him the second bowler to achieve this milestone after Tim Southee. Rashid now has 152 wickets to his name, while Tim Southee, who tops the list, has 164 wickets.

Rashid has also surpassed Shakib Al Hasan in another significant record, becoming the bowler to take 4 or more wickets in a match the most number of times in T20 Internationals. Rashid has achieved this feat nine times, while Shakib has done it eight times.
