Rohit Sharma made world record, sixth Indian to score 17,000 runs in international cricket

Indian captain Rohit became the sixth Indian batsman to complete 17 thousand runs in international cricket and scored 35 runs in the first innings of the fourth Test against Australia. In the morning session of the third day he completed 17 thousand international races with four more races. Rohit was sacked after scoring 35 runs off 58 balls in this innings. Rohit has now joined the league of legend Sachin Tendulkar, charismatic Virat Kohli, head coach Rahul Dravid, former captains Saurabh Ganguly and Mahendra Singh Dhoni who have scored 17,000 runs in international cricket.

Rohit made his international debut in June 2007 against Ireland. Since then he has played 48 Tests (currently playing Ahmedabad Test), 241 ODIs and 148 T20 Internationals in which he has scored 3348, 9782 and 3853 runs respectively. Rohit is the only player in the world to score three double centuries in ODIs.

Significantly, Australia scored 480 runs in the first innings to finish. During this, Usman Khawaja scored 180 runs. In response, India scored 289 runs in the first innings at the loss of 3 wickets. Shubman Gill scored a century for India. He scored 128 runs off 235 balls. Gill hit 12 fours and one six during this. Virat Kohli is unbeaten after scoring 59 runs.
