River Plate: Santos from Brazil comes for Juan Fernando Quintero

Brazilian soccer became one of the most tempting transfer markets due to its economic power, and it set its sights on some of the best players in the Professional League. After the transfers of Giuliano Galoppo from Banfield to San Pablo, Fausto Vera from Argentinos Juniors to Corinthians and Braian Romero from River to Inter de Porto Alegre, have been finalized in the last ten days, now it is Santos who goes to the charge for the Colombian Juan Fernando Quintero.

Before the first formal offer, the player’s representation counteroffered a sum for the entire pass that Santos considered high. The operation is not ruled out and a better proposal from the São Paulo club is expected in the next few dayswhich aims to incorporate the player in the current transfer market.

But in addition to closing the numbers with their employers, the Santista leadership will have to convince Quintero himself to transfer, who despite not having much prominence, would like to stay in River at least until November 30 which is when your loan from China’s Shenzhen is due.

The option to purchase your pass is two million dollars for half and four for the whole, and the “millionaire” leaders consider it high based on the fact that due to some injuries that afflicted him, the Colombian has not yet been able to consolidate himself as a starter and has not been a priority for coach Marcelo Gallardo.

Given this scenario, it is not ruled out that Santos will return to the fray and Quintero will finally end up playing the overwhelming Brazilian championship just like Braian Romero, who quickly left River to Internacional de Porto Alegre in a sale for 50% of his pass for approximately one million dollars. Having sold Romero abroad, River won a quota to incorporate a free player until next August 8. According to what transpired, the idea of Gallardo and manager Enzo Francéscoli would be to bring a young striker as a bet as a third variant behind Colombian Miguel Borja and Lucas Beltrán, who during this semester will alternate as central attackers.

River will play against Samiento de Junín next Sunday from 8:30 p.m. at the Monumental stadium for the eleventh date of the Professional League championship, and for that match, Gallardo would make two changes: the Chilean Paulo Díaz would replace Emanuel Mammana in defense and Enzo Pérez would return to midfield instead of Bruno Zuculini.

On the other hand, the Núñez institution trusts that by the beginning of 2023 it will have three of the four new stands available. The inauguration of 30 boxes in the Centenario media and a 700-square-meter restaurant are also awaited. The evolution of the remodeling is at “40%”, as highlighted by President Jorge Brito.

There are three details that stand out in the works. The new brand manual incorporates gray in various shades as a complementary color to the white, red and black that represent River Plate. In this way, it follows the trend of other great stages, such as Tottenham or the Santiago Bernabéu.
