Riley and Acuña Jr. lead the Braves’ offense against the Red Sox

Austin Riley hit a go-ahead, two-run single for the Braves in the 11th inning, and Atlanta rallied to beat the Boston Red Sox 9-7 on Tuesday night.

Riley also hit his 30th home run of the season, a monumental two-run shot that sent the ball over the “Green Monster.” He drove in another run on a 3-pointer as Atlanta snapped its first three-game losing streak of the year.

Jarren Duran, Christian Arroyo and Tommy Pham homered for the Red Sox, who have lost three in a row and five of the last six.

Automatic runner Michael Harris II was at second in the 11th inning when Ronald Acuña Jr. singled and stole second base.

Then came Riley’s hit. Atlanta scored five of its seven runs with two outs.

Dylan Lee (3-0) got the win and Tyler Matzek struck out twice in a scoreless 11th inning for his first save of the season.

Kaleb Ort (0-1), the Red Sox’ sixth reliever, gave up three runs in 1 2/3 innings.

For the Braves, the Venezuelans Acuña 5-3 with three runs scored, William Contreras 5-1 with an RBI, Orlando Arcia 4-1 with a run scored and one produced. Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario 2-0 with a run scored. The Dominican Marcell Ozuna 5-0.

For the Red Sox, the Dominican Rafael Devers 4-0. Mexican Alex Verdugo 5-3 with two runs scored.
