Richa Chadha revealed the discrimination on the sets, the actress’s belongings were thrown from the vanity van

Bollywood actress Richa Chadha is considered one of the best and bold actresses in the industry. The actress made her acting debut in Dibakar Banerjee’s film ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’ in the year 2008. Since then, the actress has garnered accolades for top films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Fukrey, Masaan. Recently, the actress opened up about the early days of her career. In which she recounted how much her co-stars used to interact with him, not only that, once even the actress’s luggage was taken out and thrown out of the van.

This happened when Richa was filming her first movie ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’, during that time she was in college and she came straight from college for filming. Richa, who has now become a producer, said in an interview with Pinkvilla that ‘we don’t discriminate on our sets. It doesn’t happen that someone stays in a very good hotel and someone stays in a useless one. I also stay in the same hotel with everyone and Ali too. We give full space to the actors, be it for workshops or for anything else.

“We are actors ourselves, so we have likability. We can understand how discrimination on set affects one’s morale. Discrimination can bring down one’s morale. Because this has happened to us in the early days of our career. When one vanity van was shared by 3 people while the other received a single vanity van. It was during the shooting of my first movie that I came straight from college for the shooting of Hey Lucky Lucky Hey. At that time I had a fever of 103-104. I was told the other person would be late until then I can use the vanity. So I got ready and went to the session. During that time someone dumped all my belongings there, I saw how terrible everything was. At that time I did not have my own makeup and hair supplies, they were only from the company, I felt very bad when someone’s lipstick was damaged, someone’s mirror was broken. How can they do this? You can’t do this to anyone, but these things keep happening. Fortunately, now there are social networks, people have cameras on their phones, so one stays alert before doing such an act.
