RCB vs GT: Shubman Gill’s century outshone Kohli’s, Virat expressed his anger after the loss

The last league match i.e. 70th of IPL 2023 was played between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in which Gujarat won by 6 wickets. Chasing 198 runs, Gujarat batsman Shubman Gill played an unbeaten innings.

Batting first in the match, RCB scored 197 runs on the board for 5 wickets in 20 overs. For the team, Virat Kohli played a 101* run century on 61 balls aided by 13 fours and 1 sixes. However, Shubman Gill’s century dwarfed Kohli’s unbeaten century. Chasing down the runs, Gujarat’s opening batsman Shubman Gill won the game by scoring an unbeaten 104 runs off 52 balls aided by 5 fours and 8 sixes.

With this loss for RCB, the Mumbai Indians qualified for the playoffs. At the same time, after losing the match, Virat Kohli seemed very upset. In the picture that went viral on social media, Virat Kohli can be seen giving an angry reaction after the match.

In this match, Gill completed his century by hitting a six and the team won. This IPL season turned out to be the second century in a row with Shubman Gill’s bat. Earlier, in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he too scored a 101-run century. With this, Gill became the fourth player to score two consecutive centuries in IPL.
