Just a day after Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from T20 Internationals, Jadeja revealed that he too will be hanging up his boots from the format.

In a statement, Jadeja expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to play for his country, stating that he has always strived to perform at his best. "Like a galloping horse, I have always tried to perform the best for my country and will try my best to continue this in other formats as well," he said. The all-rounder won the T20 World Cup trophy with India, a moment he described as "a dream come true" and "the biggest moment of my T20 international career".

Performance in T20 International Format

Jadeja’s performance in T20 International format has been impressive, with 515 runs in 74 matches at an average of 21.46 and a strike rate of 127.16. He has also taken 54 wickets in 71 innings at an average of 29.85, with his best performance being 3 wickets for 15 runs in a single match.
