Cowell, a British engineer, has had immense success in the current era of F1, with seven consecutive world championships between 2014 and 2020.

Appointment of Group CEO

Cowell joins Aston Martin as Group CEO, part of the team’s strategy to build a super team for the future. He will be responsible for advising Honda in the construction of the new 2026 engine, which will have 475 hp from electric energy. About Andy Cowell

Andy Cowell, a Fellow of IMechE and the Royal Academy of Engineering, has an extensive career in F1, beginning at Cosworth before joining BMW Motorsport and later Mercedes-Benz HPE. He was Director of Engineering from 2008 to 2013 and later became Managing Director of Mercedes AMG HPP during the team’s successful V6 turbo hybrid era.
