Summer Transfer Market: UD Las Palmas Eyeing Multiple Signings Ahead of New Season

UD Las Palmas is one of the most exciting teams in the summer transfer market, having already announced eight signings. The Canary Island-based club is expected to make additional moves, with at least three signings to be confirmed in the coming days. These signings will include two attacking players – a winger and a center forward – to strengthen the team’s attack.

According to UD Las Palmas’ president, the club will not be signing big-name players or making major statements in the transfer market. However, the team is focused on bringing in players with a strong First Division reputation, bolstering the squad with a mix of young talent and experienced veterans.

So far, the team has signed eight players from the Second Division, including Viti, Iván Gil, and Manu Fuster. The signings of veterans Jaime Mata and Cillessen will also provide leadership and guidance in the locker room.

The team is building a strong squad, and their plans are well underway. It is possible that additional signings will be announced before the preseason even begins.

The team’s list of forward options includes Sandro and Marc, both of whom will remain with the squad. Joining them will be Jaime Mata and additional forwards who are expected to arrive, pushing Sory Kaba out of the team on loan. The club believes a year away will allow him to regain his value. Cedric is also expected to go out on loan, allowing him to gain valuable minutes.

Meanwhile, Cristian Herrera’s future at the club is uncertain, as his contract with UD Las Palmas is set to expire. The team has not indicated plans to renew his contract.

Carrión to Decide Pau Ferrer’s Future

Pau Ferrer, a product of UD Las Palmas’ youth academy, has earned a call-up to the first team and will be with the team during preseason training in Marbella. Club official Luis Carrión will play a key role in determining Pau Ferrer’s future, with options including the first team, a loan, or potentially offering a contract renewal. Pau Ferrer’s current contract with the club is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
