MXGP: Jorge Prado Regains Momentum with Strong Performance in Indonesia
Jorge Prado, the Lugo native, has put his doubts to rest after a fall at the Italian Grand Prix, with a strong showing in Indonesia. The two-day test, held on the island of Lombok, saw Prado compete in the West Nusa Tenggara GP and the Lombok GP.
Qualifying Race
The qualifying race got underway with Tim Gajser doing the holeshot, but he was soon surpassed by Jeffrey Herlings, who had been the best in practice. Herlings set a blistering pace on the tough track, leaving no chance for the rest of the field.
Comeback
Prado was on the comeback trail, first overtaking Jeremy Seewer and then targeting Gajser. The Spanish rider managed to surpass him and tried to break away, but Gajser resisted initially before eventually giving up and finishing three seconds behind Herlings.
General Classification
As a result, Prado has cut one point from HRC, now trailing by 33 points. Herlings is 69 points behind Tim and his performance has raised expectations for the crown. The two races will take place tomorrow.
