Washington: American Congresswoman Linda Sanchez expressed her reaction to the current political tension in Pakistan.
Linda Sanchez said in her statement along with the leader of the American Democratic Party, Asif Mahmood, that bilateral relations between the United States and Pakistan are very important and the basis of these relations is strategic partnership.
The Congress member said that there is concern over political confrontation and violence against political workers in Pakistan, along with the democratic process and constitutional process in Pakistan.
He demanded that political issues should be solved through dialogue, law should be implemented, freedom of expression and human rights should be protected.
He further said that peaceful political assembly is the right of the people and they should be given this right.
