The New York Times acknowledges the failure of US sanctions against Venezuela

Caracas.- The American newspaper The New York Times pointed out that while the sanctions “were very good for the North American nation, they were also responsible for the immigration crisis that they so much challenge.”

In an article, the media reported that these measures were known to be designed by Donald Trump’s administration to cripple the country’s economy.

The article claims that the result of the tactics used against the Venezuelan economy “was that the country experienced its worst peacetime collapse in at least 45 years.”

The media also pointed out the importance of the decision that President Joe Biden could make in this regard.

This publication comes as the United States government decides whether or not to reinstate oil sanctions against Venezuela.
