The Pittsburgh Pirates placed Miguel Andujar on assignment Friday after the player’s poor performance in 13 games.

Andujar hit five hits, including two homers with six RBIs and a .161 batting average.
In his place the Pirates fielded left-handed pitcher Rob Zastryny.
