Petition filed against Elon Musk over Twitter acquisition

A lawsuit has been filed against Elon Musk, the new owner of the social networking site Twitter, seeking a three-year delay in giving Elon Musk full control of Twitter.

A lawsuit has been filed in the US state of Delaware following concerns by human rights groups against Tesla, SpaceX and now Twitter owner Elon Musk, asking the court not to give Tesla’s founder full control of Twitter until 2025. Go

The law of the said US state prevents any individual from taking over the immediate management of the purchased company.

The petition, filed by the Florida State Pension Fund, alleges that Twitter’s board of directors did not perform its duties properly and compensated for legal costs.

Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men, has been asked to delay the full management of Twitter for three years until two-thirds of the shares are approved as his property.

Twitter and Elon Musk have not yet commented on the petition.
