The latest ICC Test rankings have been released, and while the top batsmen remain unchanged, there have been some notable shifts in the rankings. Rishabh Pant, the Indian team’s star batsman and wicketkeeper, has suffered a setback and is now close to being out of the top 10.

Joe Root of England continues to hold the number one position in the ICC Test rankings with a rating of 895. Harry Brook of England is at number two with a rating of 876, followed by Kane Williamson of New Zealand at number three with a rating of 867. Yashasvi Jaiswal of India remains at number four with a rating of 847, and Travis Head is at number five with a rating of 772.

Saud Shakeel of Pakistan has jumped three places in the rankings and now occupies the number eight position with a rating of 753. This shift has resulted in losses for Steve Smith and Rishabh Pant, who have both slipped one place in the rankings. Steve Smith is now at number nine with a rating of 746, while Rishabh Pant is at number 10 with a rating of 739. Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand has also lost one place and is now out of the top 10, occupying the number 11 position with a rating of 725.

The recent Test match between Pakistan and West Indies, which ended in just three days, has had an impact on the ICC Test rankings. The match may have been boring, but it has resulted in some changes in the rankings, with Saud Shakeel being the biggest beneficiary.
