Newcastle Defender Dan Burn Helps Push Broken-Down Car Before Big Win

Dan Burn was at the center of attention on Sunday, but not just for his performance on the pitch. The Newcastle defender helped push a broken-down car off the Moor Farm roundabout on Saturday, as seen in a video posted on social media. “I was at the Moor Farm roundabout. It’s a really bad spot for accidents because it’s so confusing for drivers,” Burn explained to the Chronicle.

A minor collision involving Burn’s van triggered a chain reaction, with another car hitting it. “The airbags went off, and I got out. Someone asked if I could help push the car, so I did,” he said. Despite some people snapping photos and recording videos, Burn didn’t mind. “Someone hit my van, and then someone else hit them. It’s not a big deal, just a minor bump,” he added.

The Aftermath

The incident left Burn’s van with some damage, but he wasn’t too concerned. “It’s just a bit of a knock. I was just trying to help out. The car was heavier than it looked, but I managed to get it moving,” he said, seemingly amused by the situation. Burn joked about people taking pictures instead of lending a hand. “It’s funny how people take photos instead of helping. But I did my part for community spirit.”

Burn has been in the spotlight recently after making his England debut in March. He also helped Newcastle win their first trophy in 70 years. “I’m just trying to keep a low profile at the moment,” he said with a laugh. The Twitter post showing Burn pushing the car has garnered a lot of attention, with many praising his kindness.
