In recent weeks there has been speculation about the name of POCO’s next smartphone. Initially, data emerged that this would be presented on September 30, and it was quickly speculated that it could be the new POCO X4 or even the POCO M4.
However, this week the independent Xiaomi brand said that it was a low-end device, of the “C” line. Logically, this would be called POCO C4, the natural successor to POCO C3.
POCO C31 is the name of Xiaomi’s upcoming independent brand smartphone
This Sunday morning, the POCO India page shared the official name of the new smartphone and it is not at all what was expected. This will be called POCO C31, omitting the “4”, which is often synonymous with bad luck in Chinese culture.
“It’s strong. It’s safe. It’s fast. It’s LITTLE C31! Get ready for a tried and true experience on September 30!” Wrote POCO on Twitter. Fans immediately started toying with the choice of name, as see below.
So far, POCO hasn’t revealed much information about the smartphone. But in the published image you can see some margins and a notch in the shape of a drop for the front camera.
The truth is that this will be an entry-level smartphone, around € 100. It remains to be seen if it is always confirmed that this will be a POCO signed Redmi 10, or a completely new team. Remember POCO C3 was a renamed version of Redmi 9C.
