Following the arrest of Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, in the drug case, NCB raids continue. In this episode, NCB is conducting raids in the Bandra area of Mumbai today (Saturday). After the arrest of Aryan Khan, NCB has conducted raids in many places. Earlier, Nigerian national Chinedu Igwe was arrested in Andheri on Wednesday and 40 ecstasy bullets were recovered from him. So far many people have been arrested in this case.
According to information received from sources, NCB also raided the home and office of a producer and filmmaker. Meanwhile, another drug dealer has been arrested. NCB can now collect more information from the street drug dealer. Previously, the fortress court had rejected Aryan Khan’s release on bail in the cruise drug case. NCB had told the court that they had to gather more information on this matter.
Opposing the NCB’s request for an extension of pretrial detention on Thursday, Aryan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said his client has no relationship with any other defendants. The lawyer claimed that Aryan was on the cruise as a ‘VVIP guest’ and that ‘a person associated with Bollywood wanted to add glamor to the cruise and therefore Aryan was invited’.
Let us tell you that Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Mergent were arrested by the OCN during the raid on the Goa-bound cruise ship on October 3, while the other five remaining defendants were arrested the next day. At the end of the period of pre-trial detention, the defendants appeared before the additional chief metropolitan magistrate RM Nerlikar. From here he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
