A British woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Crown Court for murdering her young stepson.
According to a foreign media report, the incident took place on August 7, 2021, where the stepmother made a video which she shared to her husband, saying why does this happen to me.
According to the report, the young child fell from the chair, causing serious injuries, but her stepmother Leila Borrington continued to film it instead of calling an ambulance.
The child was taken to the hospital, where doctors revealed that 3-year-old Harvey had suffered serious injuries, including a fractured skull and a blood clot on the brain, as well as a broken arm, the report said. Injuries were also found which proved that the child had been tortured.
However, the stepmother pleaded guilty before the London Crown Court, after which the court sent Leila to prison for 15 years for murder and assault and grievous bodily harm.
