Manchester City is pushing for a 100 million commitment: Guardiola’s demand

Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in Manchester City re-signing Douglas Luiz, which could spark an intense transfer window this summer. The Brazilian, who currently plays for Aston Villa, is the object of the City manager’s interest despite having to compete for his services with other clubs, including Arsenal. The Villans have set a price of Ā£100m to sell the Brazil international, which could lead to fierce competition for his signing.

Manchester City have been looking for a new central midfielder since last summer and Guardiola sees Luiz as a possible replacement for Ilkay Gundogan. Although the club has made some acquisitions in this position, none of the players have fully met the Spanish coach’s expectations. City are therefore determined to strengthen their midfield and see Luiz as an outstanding option.

Douglas Luiz, Guardiola’s wish

The Brazilian, who previously played in the ranks of Manchester City, has put in an outstanding performance at Aston Villa, which has attracted the interest of several important clubs. The Birmingham team have shown their resilience by rejecting offers for Luiz and setting a high price of Ā£100 million for his sale, proving his value in the market.

Manchester City, with its financial prowess, is one of the few teams that could make a significant investment in a player as renowned as Luiz. Guardiola admires the Brazilian’s skills and sees him as having the ability to strengthen the team’s midfield. The chance to play in the Champions League and challenge for the Premier League title could be a deciding factor in Luiz’s eventual decision to leave Aston Villa.

The competition to sign Luiz will certainly be intense, with clubs like Arsenal also showing interest. Aston Villa’s performance later in the season could influence the decision of the Brazilian player, who may consider a move to a team that offers him a greater chance of success and competition among European football’s elite.
