La Ross María and El Alfa, as revelations of the year, among Dominicans nominated for Premio Lo Nuestro

The urban exponents El Alfa and La Ross María are among the Dominicans nominated this Tuesday for Premio Lo Nuestro 2022, in a list that also includes Natti Natasha, Romeo Santos, Anthony Santos, Lenny Santos, Prince Royce, Juan Luis Guerra, Milly Quezada, Chimbala and Yendri.

Ross María and Yendri are as female revelation and El Alfa as male.

At a general level, the Colombians Camilo and J Balvin, and the Mexican Christian Nodal, with 10 nominations each, will be presented as the top favorites at the Premio Lo Nuestro gala, to be held in Miami.

Camilo, recently winner of four Latin Grammys and currently nominated for a Grammy, is living his great year and these awards that Univision gives could endorse his good moment, but his compatriot and the current benchmark of the Mexican regional genre are also great options to reign that night.

The 34th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro will take place next Thursday, February 24, and will be broadcast live on Univision.

Camilo and J Balvin and Christian Nodal are part of a group of 10 musicians who aspire to the artist of the year award, and they do so together with Ángela Aguilar, Bad Bunny, Grupo Firme, Karol G, Maluma, Rauw Alejandro and Sebastián Yatra.

In that same list are the two musicians who appear one step further behind the three great favorites, Bad Bunny and Karol G, with 9 nominations each, while Caliber 50, Carlos Rivera, Farruko, Jhay Cortez, Maluma, Myke Towers and Rauw Alejandro appear in 8 categories.

The chain that gives these awards to Latin music since 1989 indicated that album of the year award it could be for Camilo’s last great success, "My hands"for "José"by J Balvin, or for Bad Bunny and his "the last tour of the world".

The other five themes that aspire to this award are "Kernels"by Farruko; "Telepathy"from Kali Uchis; "Everything about you"by Rauw Alejandro, "life of rich"of Camilo and "I give everything"by Alfredo Olivas.
