Ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia, relief news has surfaced for the India team. Team India number one fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is not out of the T20 World Cup yet. Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Sourav Ganguly has said that there is still time left for the start of the World Cup, so Bumrah can be expected to play.

Sourav Ganguly, while speaking to a news website, said that Jasprit Bumrah has not been out of the World Cup and it is too early to say anything about it. The BCCI president said: “Jasprit Bumrah is not out of the T20 World Cup. It is the time of the start of the World Cup. We should wait and not say anything hastily.

Previously, there were reports that Jasprit Bumrah had been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a back pain issue. Actually, Jasprit Bumrah couldn’t even be a part of the Asian Cup due to back pain problem. But Jasprit Bumrah was selected in the squad for the T20 series against Australia.

However, even during the series against Australia, questions were raised about Bumrah’s fitness. Bumrah was unable to play in the first T20 match of this series. After this, Bumrah participated in two matches in the series. But Bumrah was ruled out for the first T20 match against South Africa. The BCCI had issued an update saying that Bumrah had been ruled out of the series against South Africa due to back pain.

The situation is still unclear about Bumrah’s game in the T20 World Cup. It is not yet known if Bumrah will be able to play against Pakistan even if he goes to Australia with the Indian team. In case Bumrah does not play, Mohammed Shami or Mohammad Siraj can be included in the India squad.
