James Anderson made another record, he became the second cricketer to do so after the age of 30.

English fast bowler James Anderson, who is creating record after record in Test cricket, has made another great achievement. After crossing the age of 30, he became the second cricketer to play 100 Test matches. Before him, England goalkeeper batsman Alec Stewart has achieved this special position. Alec was part of the England Test team until he was 40 years old.

The Test match being played between England and New Zealand in Nottingham (ENG vs NZ 2nd Test) is the 171st Test of James Anderson’s career. Amazingly, of this, he played 71 Tests before the age of 30 and 100 Tests after crossing the age of 30. Anderson is an exception to this, where players’ performance generally fades with age. His game improved as he got older. Even after crossing the age of 39, he remains England’s leading test bowler. He is also the tallest Test wicket taker after the age of 30.

In the case of playing the most tests after crossing the age of 30, the name of two Indian legends comes after the Englishmen Alec Stewart and James Anderson. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Mr. Trustworthy Rahul Dravid have played 95-95 test matches after the age of 30. Here comes the name of former Australia captain Steve Waugh at number five. Steve Waugh has played 92 tests since he was 30 years old.

James Anderson has taken 651 wickets in Test cricket. He is running at number three in terms of taking the most wickets in Test cricket history. There are two spinners in front of him. That is to say, he is currently the highest test wicket taker among fast bowlers. Overall, Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan (800) is at number one and Australian spinner Shane Warne (708) is present at number two.
