IPL will not stop due to Lok Sabha elections, CSK vs KKR on April 8 in Chennai

The Lok Sabha elections taking place in the country will have no impact on IPL 2024. IPL will neither be stopped due to general elections nor will it be held abroad. All matches of IPL 2024 will be played exclusively in India. However, so far only the schedule up to April 7th has been announced. However, important information regarding the remaining IPL matches has now come to light.

According to the schedule, the Chennai Super Kings now have to play against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 8th. This clearly shows that the Lok Sabha elections will have no impact on IPL 2024. Previously, BCCI had announced the schedule only until April 7. The final match of the league phase will be played on May 19 between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. After a break of one day, the knockout phase of the IPL 2024 will begin. The first qualifying match will be played on May 21st.

According to the report by cricket website Cricbuzz, all the matches of IPL 2024 will be played exclusively in the country. The last match of the league will be played in Chennai on May 26. Qualifying matches will be played in Ahmedabad and Chennai. All 74 games this season are scheduled in India. The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches of IPL 2024 will be played on May 21 and 22 at the stadium in Ahmedabad. Qualifier 2 and the final will be played on May 24 and 26 in Chepauk, Chennai.

We would like to inform you that the Election Commission announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections on March 16 (Saturday). Voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. Voting will take place in one phase in 22 states and union territories.
