Before it wasn’t that big players and veterans didn’t play for the team, but as soon as the captaincy came into the hands of Rohit Sharma, the team started looking so strong that all the other teams fell behind. In 2013, among the four teams that made it to the playoffs, CSK was number one with 22 points. After this, Mumbai Indians with 22 points and Rajasthan Royals with 20 points and Sunrisers Hyderabad with 20 points were among the top 4 teams.
