Huawei Mate 50 Pro: an official presentation in October 2021 is clarified

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro could be presented in October 2021. This is in any case what reveals David Naranjo, general manager of the research firm Display Supply Chain Consultant. On Twitter, the manager published a list of smartphones equipped with a 120 Hz LTPO OLED panel to come in 2021. The Mate 50 Pro is one of them.

After launching the P50 and P50 Pro in July 2021, Huawei should logically soon lift the veil on the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro. For now, the Shenzhen firm is particularly silent about their subjects. In fact, it is necessary to count on the indiscretions and the declarations of actors of the industry to learn more about the next flagships of the Chinese brand.

And precisely, David Naranjo, general manager of the research firm Display Supply Chain Consultant, has just announced new information about the Mate 50 Pro precisely. Indeed, the manager published a list of devices equipped with a variable refresh rate screen (from 1 to 120 Hz) like the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This is a roadmap from a supplier of LTPO OLED displays.

A launch of the Mate 50 Pro in October 2021?

There are several smartphones already launched such as the OnePlus Pro 9, the Oppo Find X3 and X3 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, the brand’s latest foldable devices. And as you can imagine, we can also find smartphones that have not yet been announced, like the Xiaomi Mi 12, the Pixel 6 Pro and especially the Huawei Mate 50 Pro. If we believe this listing, the launch date of the Mate 50 Pro is said to be in the fourth quarter of 2021.

And as David Naranjo reminds us, Huawei has two niches to unveil the Mate 50 Pro. Either during the event dedicated to the presentation of the Nova 9 on September 23 in China, or during the conference dedicated to the P50 and P50 Pro to be held in Vienna on October 21. Either way, David Naranjo’s statements corroborate with previous rumors that Huawei was planning to launch the Mate 50s in 2021 despite the sanctions. As a reminder, the Huawei Mate 50 could carry a Snapdragon 898.
