Food inspector Rajesh Biswas was taking a selfie while standing next to the Kherkatta dam in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Suddenly the phone fell from his hand in the water of the dam. Later he had to drain 2 million liters of water from the dam to find that phone. And this is the obstacle.

According to the report, Rajesh Biswas’ Samsung phone worth Rs 1 lakh fell into the water while taking a selfie last Sunday. If the local divers are unable to retrieve the phone from the water, a diesel pump is installed to drain the water. Later, after running the pump for three days to remove the water, the mobile was recovered from the dam. But when the mobile was found it was no longer usable.
Rajesh Biswas claimed that his phone had important government information. So it needed to be rescued. He also took verbal permission from an official to pump water.
It is known that he has irrigated about two million liters of water by running the pump for three days. With which about 6 square kilometers of agricultural land could be cultivated.
Priyanka Shukla, official of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, told a local media that water is an essential resource so it cannot be wasted like this. Rajesh Biswas has been suspended pending an investigation into the matter.
