Gobert hits rock bottom

New NBA day with up to seven games played, although little news. The highlight has been the loud beating of the Kings to the Clippers in Los Angeles. The Bucks, for their part, forget about the loss to the Lakers and prevail in Charlotte. The Warriors increase their good streak, Luka Doncic takes a break at Madison and the Raptors beat the Magic with little prominence from Juancho. Also, the Jazz cannot beat the Blazers in Salt Lake City and see their record increasingly affected. All this and much more in the summary of the day:

NEW YORK KNICKS 100 – 121 DALLAS MAVERICKS

Luka Doncic conquers Madison in the reunion with Jalen Brunson. Check the chronicle here.

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 96 – 123 SACRAMENTO KINGS

The Kings (12-9, fifth in the Western Conference) passed the roller in their visit to the Clippers (13-11) and signed an impressive blowout in a game that they were already winning by 28 points in the second quarter. An almost perfect Domantas Sabonis (24 points with 10 of 11 shooting) took the lead of the Kings against some very misguided Angelenos (35.5% shooting from the field), who continue to miss the injured Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and who this time had their best man in Brandon Boston Jr. (18 points).

CHARLOTTE HORNETS 96 – 105 MILWAUKEE BUCKS

After their loss on Friday against the Lakers in one of the most spectacular games so far this season, the Bucks (16-6, second in the Eastern Conference) returned to the path of victory by beating the Hornets (7-16, increasingly sunken and adrift) at home. Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday (all of them by rest), the Bucks handed over to Bobby Portis (20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists) while the Hornets entrusted themselves to Terry Rozier (26 points).

TORONTO RAPTORS 121 – 108 ORLANDO MAGIC

The eighth consecutive defeat of The Magic (5-19, bottom of the Eastern Conference) arrived on Canadian soil against the Raptors (12-11, eighth in the East) led by OG Anunoby (32 points) and in which the Spanish Juancho Hernangómez played less than 5 minutes and contributed a point. Bol Bol and Terrence Ross had 18 points apiece for the bottom East.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 128 – 135 OKLAHOMA CIRY THUNDER

A 27-38 run in the fourth quarter helped the Thunder (10-13) an important away victory against the Timberwolves (11-12) in which Rudy Gobert was sent off in the second period for tripping Kenrich Williams. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (33 points and 6 assists) and D’Angelo Russell (27 points and 6 assists) were the best for the Thunder and Wolves, respectively.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 120 – 101 HOUSTON ROCKETS

Andrew Wiggins leaves, Stephen Curry continues in star mode and the Warriors add. Check the chronicle here.

UTAH JAZZ 111 – 116 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

With 45 points from a fantastic Anfernee Simons (she already had 33 at halftime) and another 33 from Jerami Grant, the Blazers (12-11, ninth in the Western Conference) recovered from three consecutive losses and they beat the Jazz (14-12) in a very close game until the end. All five members of Utah’s starting five had at least 15 points with Jordan Clarkson (24 points) leading the scorer.
