In the Big Bash League, foreign players will now be selected from the draft system. This system project will be applicable from the next edition. Under this draft system, all teams will have to choose at least 2 players, and a maximum of 3 players can be selected. Nomination for this system project is believed to begin in the next few months.
Actually, there will be 4 categories in this draft. There will be 4 categories like Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Players included in different categories will have different prices. Players included in the Platinum category will have the highest price. At the same time, the draft order will be decided by lottery. While aside from this, all teams will have the option to retain players.
In the first round there will be players included in the Platinum category. All Big Bash teams will be able to choose a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 foreign players. Apart from this, all the teams involved in this league can form a squad of maximum 18 players. In which there will be 2-3 foreign players, while the rest will be national players.
