For the first time in history, Russian military aircraft landed in China

Amid tensions with the Western world, joint military exercises between Russia and China continue, with the air forces of both countries taking part in joint military exercises in the Asia-Pacific region.

In this regard, the Russian Ministry of Defense says that the purpose of these exercises is to prove the unity between Moscow and Beijing against the West.

The Russian official said that Russian aircraft landed in China for the first time in history on the occasion of the exercise, and Chinese aircraft also landed on the territory of the Russian Federation in similar exercises.

The spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense further says that Moscow attaches special importance to relations with Beijing, both countries have similar ambitions and will not accept the leadership of the United States under any circumstances.

It should be noted that in the past few months, China and Russia’s defense ties are getting stronger amid the tensions caused by the Russian attack on Ukraine and the American support for Taiwan.

China has blamed Western “provocation” for the war in Ukraine and has openly opposed Western sanctions on Moscow.

On the other hand, Moscow also supported Beijing during the visit of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to tensions arising from Taiwan, it should be noted that China considers Taiwan a part of its own territory.

Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin compared Taiwan tensions to the war in Ukraine, saying US support for Kiev and Taipei was part of efforts to fuel global instability.
