Father is fined for entering his neighbor’s garden for a ball

Un padre deberá pagar 24 mil dólares por invadir el jardín de sus vecinos para recuperar el balón de su hijo

A father decided to break into his neighbors’ garden to steal his son’s football after it was “confiscated” by them. He now has to pay a fine of $24,000.

The protagonist of this story is Chaim Adler, who couldn’t help but get angry when he saw his 8-year-old son crying because his neighbors refused to return his ball that landed in his garden in Golders Green in the north of London, then that the minor kicked her.

The boy also accidentally kicked the fence, leading to a huge legal challenge.

After the neighbors refused to give him the ball back, the father did not hesitate to enter Warren Bergson’s yard, but he refused to give in.

Chaim Adler returned the next day, this time attempting to break into her apartment while “aggressively” demanding that the ball be returned to his son.

Bergson, a lawyer, and his wife, psychologist Edel McAndrew-Bergson, sued the man for trespassing and harassment. These offenses were upheld by a judge, who awarded them £19,800 ($24,000) in damages.

The judge said the minor’s father had gone “too far.”

Judge Stephen Hellman said Mr Adler, the 35-year-old boss of the fire alarm company, had been provoked by his neighbors’ behavior when he failed to give the ball back to the boy but had gone “too far”.

He also said that “Chaim Adler’s behavior was aggressive, humiliating and intimidating,” and announced the sentence in front of the city’s mayor and district court. “This behavior goes beyond simply causing discomfort.”

“He shouted at my son and made him cry. I was very upset and went home to talk to him and get the ball back. My aunt lives in the house and allowed us to go into the garden at any time. The Bergsons lived in a granny flat at the end of the garden. I wasn’t home when he first passed the ball to me, but when he yelled at my son and refused to give it back, I went and asked for it back. I tried to ask him nicely,” Adler said.

Adler’s mother added that her son does not have the resources to pay the fine and that the legal process has already cost him a lot of money.

“This whole matter should never have gone to court.” We didn’t want to go to court, but they were determined to sue. I don’t know how he’s going to find the £20,000 to pay them. It’s just ridiculous. “My son is angry,” Esther Adler told MailOnline.
