It goes by the name Fairphone 4 and focuses on sustainability. For that reason, it was built with recycled materials and offers a five-year warranty.
The specs are also weatherproof, and to go along with the long warranty, it’s equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor and 6 or 8GB of RAM.
Fairphone 4 Specifications
Equipped with a 3905 mAh battery that can be charged at a speed of 20 W, the new Fairphone model features a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. It is available in two versions: one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB. GB of storage and another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 6.3-inch screen offers a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The idea is that it lasts over time. Its IP54 rating makes it resistant to splashes of water and dust.
The sustainable terminal has 5G communications and Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac connectivity features, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C and USB On-The-Go.
48 megapixel dual camera and compatibility with Android 11, 12 and 13
On the back of the Fairphone 4, we find a dual camera with two 48-megapixel sensors, one with an aperture of f / 1.6 and the other with an aperture of f / 2.2. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 60 frames per second. The front camera has 25 megapixels with an aperture of f / 2.2 and 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
Software-wise, the company says that the Fairphone 4 runs Android 11, but leaves promise that future Android 12 and Android 13 will run on this model as well. Accounts made at least until 2025 this model offers support for future Google operating systems.
Fairphone 4 pricing and availability
The model is now available for pre-order on the Fairphone website. As for prices, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version costs 579 euros.
The Fairphone 4 model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory costs 649 euros. They can be purchased in two colors: green or gray, and the most expensive version also offers a mottled green model, exclusive to the brand for the same cost of 649 euros.
