Europe’s biggest “Fire Festival” begins

Europe’s biggest fire festival has started in Scotland, with children and adults taking to the streets with burning torches in their hands.

According to ARY News, the traditional fire festival has started in Scotland, which is called the biggest fire festival in Europe. In this festival everyone, be it children or adults, comes out on the streets with burning torches in their hands and something similar has happened this year as well.

On one side, people took to the streets carrying burning torches, while on the other side, citizens dressed in traditional clothes set fire to a model of a pirate ship. At this point, the whole area looked like a burning volcano from a distance.

The history of this unique festival dates back to three centuries and was started in the 18th century AD, which is celebrated annually as the Ap Heli A Festival.

The fire is attributed to a pirate named Mela y King, who raided European shores between the 8th and 10th centuries AD.

Citizens dressed in traditional clothes set fire to the model of the pirates’ boat. From a distance, the entire area looked like a raging volcano.
