Elon Musk Tried To Silence The Bot That Tracks His Private Plane On Twitter

Jack Sweeney, a 19-year-old, created a Twitter bot that tracks the movements of the private planes of several tech billionaires.

Among them is none other than the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, who contacted the young man to ask him to stop doing this.

Musk told Sweeney that this was a security risk and offered him $5,000 to delete the account.

However, Sweeney said that I would do it for 50,000 dollarsand that the money would help him with things like college tuition and maybe even help him buy a car like the Tesla Model 3.

Musk then told Sweeney he would think about it, but had not contacted him yet. so Sweeney decided to go public with his conversation with Musk inside Business Insider.

In favor of the young man we must say that he gave Musk some tips on how to block tracking by a system that would change your aircraft identifier. According to Sweeney, it appears that Musk followed his advice, but now sees it as a new challenge.

We don’t know if Sweeney will ever retire his bot, but in the meantime, his work has landed him a job at a company called UberJets, where he helped develop a platform that tracks charter flights to help find cheaper seats.
