After constant calls for his surrender and search by agents of the Homicide Division, attached to the Cibao Central Police Regional Directorate, he was handed over by a deacon and a lawyer, the young Josefrailin Alcántara Martínez, alias “El Pelotero and/or El Mayorcito” , 18 years old, for being the main author of killing a young man in Cienfuegos.
El Pelotero was actively wanted through arrest warrant No. 03821-2023, who is credited with the death of 22-year-old Darwin Díaz Valerio for alleged money debt.
It is recalled that the event occurred on Sunday, May 18, being reported missing by his relatives, who was later found in a state of decomposition on Monday, May 22, in some bushes located in the municipal district of Santiago Oeste.
Alcántara Martínez was arrested for his alleged participation together with his cousin Diego Anibal Rodríguez Martínez who is in prison for this act.
The detainee in the next few hours will be made available to the Public Ministry for legal purposes.
