EI Nacional vuelve en Pozoblanco tras la anulación de Lanzarote

The Spanish Championship returns to action this weekend in Pozoblanco. After the inexplicable cancellation of the Isla de los Volcanes Rally in Lanzarote, the Cordovan event will be the third event of the year, to which Iván Ares arrives as leader, although in a close duel with the winners of the two contested tests, Pepe López and Efrén Llarena. It will be the return to the dirt sections.

Usual scenario in the dirt championship, at last year’s edition in October Ares himself and Surhayen Pernía attended, something that will surely benefit you this weekend. Ares arrives with just one point ahead of López and Llarena, with Pernía lying in wait and ‘Rocket’ Suárez pining for a change of luck after a bumpy start to the season.

Nor should we forget the young Alejandro Cachon, who has surprised in his debut in the top category, nor the specialists on land, such as Rodrigo Zeballos, Juan Carlos Quintana or Alex Villanueva. The list of pilots with possibilities of finishing up also includes Oriol Gómez, Daniel Alonso or José Luis Peláez, among others.

The test starts on Friday with the ‘shakedown’ and the qualifying section, although the bulk of the competition will be played on Saturday and will have 69 participants.
