Edward Cabrera pitched nearly six innings, Tanner Scott pulled out of a jam in the ninth and the Miami Marlins snapped the Phillies’ seven-game winning streak with a 3-0 victory Thursday night.

Scott struck out pinch hitter JT Realmuto with two men left in the eighth. In the ninth, Scott loaded the bases with two singles and a walk, but struck out Edmundo Sosa and Matt Vierling and struck out Brandon Marsh with an easy groundout for his 16th save in a 39-pitch effort.

Cabrera (3-1) struck out six and walked two over 5 2/3 innings and combined with three relievers for a seven-hit feat.

The Phillies were coming off their best win of the season, rallying with three runs in the eighth inning against Sandy Alcantara, the NL ERA leader, to beat the Marlins 4-3.

Philadelphia, the second wild-card occupant in the National League, went 6-1 in a home stretch. They are 12-2 in their last 14 games heading into a series against the division-leading New York Mets.

For the Marlins, the Venezuelans Miguel Rojas 3-0 and Jesús Aguilar 1-0. Dominican Lewin Díaz 4-1, a run scored and an RBI.

For the Phillies, Dominican Jean Segura 3-0. Panamanian Sosa 1-0.
