The general manager of the Águilas Cibaeñas, Ángel Ovalles, announced the coaching staff that will accompany manager José Leger in the 2022-2023 season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), which begins in October.

“We have in Leger a leader with great ability and experience in the league for having performed different roles in it and who is directing in Double A with the organization of the St. Louis Cardinals and now we have the mission of putting a good staff of coaches to around him,” Ovalles said.

He indicated that the coaching staff has been formed with few new additions, a process that will keep in the team that group of coaches who were part of the 22nd championship achieved by the Eagles with promotions and rotations.

Ovalles said at the outset that José Leger will have Tomas Francisco as bench coach, after being the hitting coach in recent years. "a promotion that has been well earned".

Francisco will be a person of great help to Leger in the opinion of the Eaglet Manager. "He currently works with the Tampa Bay Rays, he will have his first experience in the role, but he is loaded with knowledge".

Ángel Ovalles announced that this season Víctor Estévez, who is a Class A manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, will make his debut in the staff coaching team as a quality control coach.
