The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reported that the collection corresponding to January of this year totaled RD$65,725.2 million, with RD$2,635.5 million above the estimate. This number is equivalent to a growth of 14.9% with RD$8,538.9 million more than in January 2022, when RD$57,186 million were collected.
The institution was responsible for the collection of 77.1% of the RD$85,296.3 million that entered the State through the collection offices during this month.

Regarding tax revenue, the Corporate Income Tax and Asset Tax presented the highest increasecollecting RD$10,425.5 million, which implies an absolute variation of RD$2,846 million more than January 2022, equivalent to a growth of 37.6%.
While, the collection of Personal Income Tax for January 2023 amounted to RD$10,029.3 million with an increase of RD$1,875.5 million, equivalent to 23%.
For ITBIS, an amount of RD$18,119.7 million entered compared to the RD$15,662.5 million that entered in the same period of 2022 for an increase of RD$2,457.2 million for 15.7%.
For the selective Alcohols and Tobacco, RD$3,382.7 million were captured in January with RD$437.4 million more than in January 2022 for a growth of 14.9%.
By the selective ones to Fuels the State received RD$5,876.5 million which, compared to January 2022, when RD$5,482.6 million were received, meant an increase of RD$393.9 million.
