Riyadh: Saudi authorities have issued explanations and instructions regarding the renewal of residence in case of death of the sponsor of foreign workers.
According to the Saudi website, a person on Twitter found out that Saiq Khas was staying at the residence, the sponsor has passed away while the residence is about to expire, how can it be renewed.
In response to the question, Jawazat said that the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare should refer to the Department of Population’s protection and assistance to domestic workers, which in Arabic is called Da’am and Hamaya Al-Amala Al-Manzaliya, where the matter is best resolved.

In case of death of the sponsor, his representative or the person who has the power of attorney (Wakala Shariah) is eligible for renewal of residence or exit.
The issues of domestic workers are slightly different from those of commercial employees. However, the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare also has committees under the management of population to resolve issues and disputes of commercial employees who resolve any disputes.
