Dani Juncadella Leads Spain in FIA Motorsport Games

Dani Juncadella will be the captain of the Spanish team for the FIA ​​Motorsport Games

In just a few days, the Paris Olympic Games will conclude, but before that, Spain will host the Olympic motor games: the FIA Motorsport Games, between October 23 and 27. We already know the pilots who will represent our country in this special edition, held in Valencia.

Juncadella, ‘captain’

National coach Antonio Rodriguez has chosen Dani Juncadella, official Corvette driver in IMSA and WEC, as the “flag bearer” to captain the Spanish team in the GT category. He will repeat his debut in the last edition, held in Marseille.

Eric Gene, son of Jordi Gené and nephew of former F1 driver Marc Gené, will represent Spain in Touring Car at just 17 years old. Oscar Fuertes, son of a pilot, will defend the colors of Spain in Car Cross Mini.

Ivan Velasco will compete in his third “games” in the GT Single Make category, reserved for the Ferrari 296 Challenge, and aims to repeat the medal. Fernando Navarrete and Jorge Cabezas will be the Spanish couple in GT Endurance.

One of the new features of the third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games is the arrival of trucks. Antonio Albacete, triple European champion, will represent Spain among the giants of the track.

These seven pilots are added to the previous call from Antonio Rodríguez, bringing the Spanish representation to 20 categories out of a total of 27 announced.

Juan Cota (Formula 4), Belen Garcia, José Manuel Pérez-Aicart and German Sanchez (Karting Endurance), Neus Llin and Sandro Perez (Karting Slalom Electric), Bosco Arias (Junior Sprint Karting), Nuvola Morales (Mini Karting), Laura Aparicio and Adrian Agote (Electric Street), Ruben Moya (Senior Sprint Karting), Antonio Sainz and Carlos Cancela (Historic Rally), Sergi Perez and Axel Coronado (Rally 4), Alejandro Cachon and Borja Rozada (Rally 2), Ivan Piña (Cross Car), Diego Martinez (Junior Cross Car), Ruben Bolaños (Drift), Pablo Espes (Esports F4) are the other selected pilots.
