Jackie Bradley Jr. made it 0-4 with a three-run double in the second inning. Rich Hill had no problems through the first four innings until he left the mound with a sprained left knee in the fifth inning, in which Chicago had three runs.
The Cubs scored three more runs with two outs in the sixth and took a 6-5 lead on Morel’s new home run.
The 23-year-old, who had a career-best five hits against Cincinnati on Thursday, hit his two-run homer to the left off Hansel Robles (1-3).
