Cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io has announced that it will add Shiba Inu’s BONE token to its platform today, February 24. This ‘listing’ was announced via the official Shiba Inu Twitter account and via a blog post on Gate.io.
What is BONE?
The BONE token is a governance token for the Shibaswap ecosystem, which allows the ShibArmy to vote on future proposals. Users with more BONE have more weight in their voice in this decision making. In the future, BONE will also serve as a utility token on the Shibarium platform.
In addition to voting rights on upcoming proposals, BONE token holders on Shibarium will also be able to stake their tokens to become network validators and earn interest on their BONE tokens as a contribution to the maintenance of the network. Gate.io has announced that trading in BONE will begin on February 24, 2023 at 05:00 CET.
