Leadership Changes at Zalando

Zalando, a prominent German fashion company, has made a significant appointment by naming Eloisa Siclari as the new general director for the Spanish and Italian markets. This change is aimed at strengthening the company’s presence in Spain and solidifying its position as a leader in the sector.

Internal Talent Takes the Helm

Siclari’s appointment is a testament to Zalando’s commitment to nurturing internal talent. Having joined the company in 2021 as marketing director for Italy and Spain, she later took on the role of global marketing director in 2023. This promotion demonstrates the company’s confidence in her abilities and its dedication to developing its employees.

A Proven Track Record

Eloisa Siclari brings a wealth of experience and a strong academic background to her new role. Holding a degree in International Business and Engineering, as well as a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, she has worked with renowned companies such as Segula Technologies, Procter & Gamble (P&G), and VF Corporation. Her expertise in marketing, purchasing, and brand management will undoubtedly be valuable assets in her new position.

A Time of Change and Growth

Zalando is currently undergoing significant changes, including the acquisition of the German distribution company About You and the recent announcement of a reduced returns period. As the company continues to evolve and grow, Siclari’s leadership will be instrumental in navigating these changes and maintaining the positive momentum achieved in the third quarter of last year, which saw sales reach 2,388 million euros, representing a 5% growth compared to the same period in 2023.
