Kingfisher group has appointed Chris Bargate, previously director of development and strategy at B&Q, as the new CEO of Brico Depôt in Spain and Portugal. Bargate will replace Mike Foulds at the helm of the Iberian subsidiary from March 1st.
With his experience within the Kingfisher Group and his passion for new store concepts, expansion and professional customer strategy, he is the perfect replacement to drive the next phase of growth in the Iberian business.
Chris Bargate has held various roles within the group since 2010 and most recently led the strategic plan to shape the future and continued growth of B&Q in the UK. In addition, he led several key strategic changes within the company, including simplifying the branch operating model, launching the TradePoint Pro loyalty program, implementing the first smaller branch formats and developing the facilities business.

Eduardo Lopezwho took over responsibility as interim CEO of Brico Depôt Iberia during this time, will continue his functions within the management as Finance & Property Director.
