Changes in Saudi labor law, what will be the new rules and regulations?

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has made some major changes to its labor law.

According to Arab media reports, the Saudi minister of labor and social welfare, engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi, approved amendments to the labor law strategy.

The report said the new amendments would allow companies and institutions to review cases of improper payment of fines for infractions.

If a company or organization violates labor law, it can object to the penalty report against it within 60 days.

According to the modifications, the payment of the fine will not be suspended in the previous case. The registration of the objection does not mean the suspension of the execution of the fine. In this sense, the company or institution may also oppose the final decision against it, the term for this procedure will be 90 days.

The interested institution must resolve the matter within 90 days from the date of submission of the request, which may suspend payment of the fine until a final decision is made.
