New year, new gear. Canon just dropped two cameras that are about to change the game for content creators: the EOS R50 V and the PowerShot V1.
These cameras are packed with pro-level video features, including a Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system that’s fast and accurate. The EOS R50 V has a mode called Product Demo that’s perfect for product reviews – it lets you pick up an object and the camera will focus on it instantly.
Both cameras can shoot slow-motion and time-lapse videos without needing a computer. They’ve also got all the ports you need, including a mic, headphone jack, USB-C with PD, and micro HDMI.
The PowerShot V1 is a compact camera that’s all about video. It’s got a big 1.4-inch sensor that’s way bigger than what you’d find in a regular compact camera. This means better image quality, even in low light. It’s also got a zoom lens and a built-in ND filter, which is a must-have for video shooters.
What really sets the PowerShot V1 apart is its internal cooling system. This means you can record video for a long time without the camera overheating. It can shoot 4K at 60p and 4K at 30p with oversampling, which gives you super-high-quality video.
Like the EOS R50 V, the PowerShot V1 is designed for video first. It doesn’t have a viewfinder or flash, but it’s got a new feature called Subject Tracking IS that keeps your subject in the frame at all times.
