Alain Tascan, the head of Netflix Gaming, spilled the beans to game journalist Stephen Totilo. The live-action Assassin’s Creed series, first announced five years ago, is still a work in progress.
Tascan kept the details under wraps, so we’re still in the dark about what direction the series will take.
Back in 2021, word was that Jeb Stuart, the writer behind Die Hard, was on board to pen the script. But by 2023, he’d jumped ship, citing a lack of clear info about the project. With no updates, it seemed like the project might have been quietly axed.
But Tascan’s confirmation says otherwise. The series is still alive, even if we don’t know what it’ll look like yet.
